12/30: 누나 너무 예뻐서...

Surprisingly, I DID get up at 5:30 and go to the gym. It wasn't an entirely pleasant experience, but I did it, and after I did, I felt like roughly one million bucks. And here I am at Dunkin Donuts, doing my thing.

I'm realizing something I should have expected. It's a lot harder to force myself to come here on Thursday and Friday nights, because those are days I don't even tend to get home from work until around 6, and I feel more inclined to go play with Tim than be here by 7:30. This is just a fact I need to accept and work through, because in November I'll need to write for an hour every single day. No excuses. It just has to be scheduled and done. But I'm happy that I didn't let myself miss yesterday altogether. Even if there wasn't much to the entry, I wrote it and posted it, which keeps my forward momentum of blogging everyday going, and I'm back in a positive attitude place today for sure. :)

Today was a pretty good day. All three of my classes were pretty good today, and the five "tough guys" who got into a fight joined us in class again, which was nice. I gave presents to the principal and teachers, and they were all pretty impressed. I went this morning and bought 30 donuts, one for each of the third graders as a Chuseok present, and they were really really excited about it. I guess donuts are still sort of a novel treat for citizens of Naju, so it was worth the $27. After school I went for a walk through my rural village, and it was pretty. I'm going to start doing it at least once a week, so I'll try to remember to bring my camera next time so you can see it too. Peaceful and pretty. And especially once it starts to get a little cool it'll be wonderful. A nice chance to think.

I have a four day weekend ahead of me because of Chuseok, so I'm going to go visit a friend in a city about 3 hours away for a couple of days. Travelling will be crazy, because it's a holiday weekend, but hopefully I can figure it all out. I'm going to try to go to the gym tomorrow morning before I head out, but I'm worried it'll be closed because of the holiday. I'm also a little worried about eating right, getting my exercise in, and blogging over the next few days, but Tony's good people, and he's lost a lot of weight in Korea too, so hopefully he'll support me. I'm debating whether or not to bring my laptop, but I think I will, if only just so I can work on my Letter of Intent for my TFA application on the bus ride. I finished the resume three days behind the deadline, and haven't even started the letter, which I'm supposed to finish tomorrow, so I need to get cracking for sure.

Bah! I should also go ahead and clean my room tonight, because Saturday's my cleaning day, and I won't be doing it tomorrow. Busy busy. Happy Chuseok everybody! Hopefully Tony has wireless so I can post my entries as I write them, but if not, I'll be back Monday or Tuesday. :)
